Our Story

  • Who said we were skeptics?

Jason and I were extreme skeptics about essential oils. Jason said they were for weirdos! I would have to say I was in agreement with him until our experience with the oils!

  • Peppermint

My first experience with essential oils was peppermint. I was having a horrible headache one afternoon  and I had tried about 4-5 Tylenol with no relief in site, so I texted a friend whom had given me some peppermint oil as a gift. When she gave me the oil she mentioned  it was good for all sorts of things including headaches.  Ok, how is peppermint going to help my splitting headache, right? Desperation had now set in, and at this point I would have tried anything. I applied the peppermint on my temples and across my forehead and after about 20 minutes the headache was gone!

  • Frankincense

My favorite essential oil to date has to be Frankincense hands down! I've had a dark line across my upper lip since I was about 16 from a prescription medicine I had taken after a kidney transplant. The discoloration was one of the side effects. I've tried for years to remove it with numerous types of  expensive creams, which have not helped much. I began using frankincense & lavender mixed in coconut oil about 6 weeks ago, and the discoloration is fading. The oil has worked so well that I am  now using it on some sun damage spots, and it is starting to fade those too.

  • Crud Busters

Jason was aware of my success with peppermint, however his skepticism had not went away until... He woke up with a sore throat, sinus drainage, and an earache. For him this was the opportunity to see if there was any truth about the oils. So, he called our friend who had given me the other oils for recommendations and supplies. He then applied lemon behind his ears and down his neck over the lymph nodes; and then thieves, melrose, and purification on the bottom of his feet and neck. Within 24 hrs he was feeling much better and within 48 hrs he only had a slight cough at night.
Since Jason had success he made our oldest daughter Anna (19) use some of the same oils when she began to have a sore throat, cough & stuffy nose. Anna also drank hot tea with a drop of thieves, and the next morning Anna was well! This is significant, because Anna has already had two trips to the doctor this winter. Anna has really bad sinus problems and a simple cold usually lands her in the doctor's office with multiple prescriptions, shots & breathing treatments...… but not this time!
Next was our daughter Chloe (15). She began to have the same symptoms, we again applied the same techniques as with Anna. while adding a capsule of 3 drops lemon, 2 drops peppermint and the rest with a carrier oil (grape seed oil). Chloe was our biggest skeptic of all.....not anymore!
What we have learned is apply early and often. We applied the oils about every two or three hours until well.

  • Final Thoughts

We always recommend using common sense when you are not feeling well. My family understands there is a time to use modern medicine, since having only had three kidney transplants in my lifetime :-). I thank God for the wisdom he has given the doctors, scientist, researchers, and all those who have committed their life to serve others in the medical field. Without their God given ability and there dedication, my life may have ended over 20 years ago!  God has blessed my family so much and the essential oils are just another blessing from Him.

love in Christ,
Jennifer
